Day Six

Good news, we didn’t get eaten by the lions. We had a big breakfast early this morning and headed for the Ngorongoro Crater. It is a natural land formation created from volcanic activity. Our driver took us up the outer side of the crater.  Up an up. Followed the ridge for quite a ways.  Then started our decent. As we slowly traversed the roads we started to see the Maasai villages along the slopes. They are known from their defense of their land and livestock. Before we reached the bottom we saw our first elephant. Standing on the edge of the road munching on brush. I’m not going to go through all of the animals we saw in the basin but i am personally amazed at the variety that coexist in the crater. Our guides stopped through an information center about the town of Karatu and the Ngorongoro crater before bringing us back to Arusha. Laurence ordered us our supper while we had or nightly meeting and devotion. Our plan has been put in place to get our luggage weighed out and had back for the states. Kelly, Patti, and Trey are staying for a couple days before Kelly heads to her next mission. While Patti and Treys flights didn’t match up. Pray for our safe travels. And stand by for photos.
